Job Description: Responsible for maintaining medical information regarding residents by performing the following duties: Prepares, closes, audits medical charts for complete info/data. Maintain census log with admin/discharge information. Record all accident/occurence reports. File records in resident charts.  Do MDS schedule monthly. Complete and send state government forms when appropriate.  Code diganosis use ICD-9CM/ICD-10-CM for each resident.  Attend meeting for Medicare residents. Attend weekly iterdisciplinary meetings and report census and case mix.
Preferred Skills: Qualifications: individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  Computer experience is necessary.  The ability to work efficiently with Co-Worker soft-ware or the ability to learn new programs.  Understanding of ICD-9/ICD-10 coding is preferred.  High school diploma or GED or one to three months related experience and or training.  Ability to read and interpret documents/procedure manuals.  Able to write routine reports and correspondence. Able to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organizations.  Understanding of basic medical terminology is preferred.
