St. Maries Care Center – Certified Nursing Assistant

A nursing assitant provides assistance to residents with activities of daily living.  Nursing assistants are required to go through training and become certified within 4 months of their date of employment.  Becoming a certified nursing assistant is the first step toward many careers in the nursing field.  CNA’s at Valley Vista perform a variety of tasks for our residents to ensure they are cared for, comfortable, and safe.

We are proud to partner with North Idaho College to offer accreditation to all of our nursing assistants.  Training takes place in St. Maries or Sandpoint, and employees are enrolled in the program by Valley Vista as part of their employment.  If you are interested in joining us as a CNA, apply for the position of Nursing Assistant with either the St. Maries application or the Sandpoint application.  Send your application to Cozzette Gastin for St. Maries, or Susan Ferguson for Sandpoint.

In St. Maries, classes begin quarterly.  In Sandpoint, class chedules vary.  All classes take place during your regular hours of employment and run for 8 weeks.
